Design and Evaluation of a Digital Exergame-Based Solution for Effective and Attractive Sports Rehabilitation

Exergames offer an innovative solution for rehabilitation after a cruciate ligament rupture. Movement-based games can motivate patients and prepare them for a return to sport through their motor-cognitive training approach. The collaboration of experts from the fields of sports science, game design and physiotherapy enabled the evidence-based, user-centred, interdisciplinary and iterative development and evaluation of an innovative new exergame scenario to be used in sports rehabilitation.
