Digital Health Design Living Lab
The Digital Health Design Living Lab (DHD LL) is a co-creative, interdisciplinary hub that brings together stakeholders in healthcare with experts from the three initiating Zurich universities (ZHdK, UZH, ZHAW) to actively shape the future of digital healthcare.
In the DHD LL, innovative solutions are developed and implemented – from products to processes to services – for the (digital) healthcare system. These are based on individual and societal needs as well as the latest findings from interdisciplinary research. In addition, the Living Lab contributes to the generation of new knowledge and the promotion of cross-disciplinary competencies.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
The Living Lab designs and implements projects in the context of digital health. Activities include supporting, developing, researching, and implementing solutions.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
In the field of education, programs are developed to train professionals at various qualification levels – from undergraduate and postgraduate study programs to part-time certificates and doctoral opportunities – to prepare them for interdisciplinary collaboration in digital healthcare.
PARTICIPATORY FORMATS
Through dialogue formats and the active involvement of experts as well as the public, awareness of digital health is raised. At the same time, innovative, value-creating ideas are promoted.
The core team of the DHD LL consists of experts in the fields of design and design research, medical ethics, and health promotion. For the needs-based implementation and successful practical application of tailored solutions, the Living Lab closely cooperates with university hospitals, patient organizations, professional associations, research institutions, healthcare providers, and the public. The participatory approach incorporates diverse perspectives and builds on collective engagement.
