Research Clusters
At the Institute for Design Research, researchers from various disciplines work together with interdisciplinary partner institutions to conduct research in three thematic clusters: «Health Design», «Global Design» and «Ecology & Sustainability Design».
The different clusters draw on expertise, theories and methods from various disciplines to analyse complex interrelationships in society, ecology and technology from a design perspective.
The focus is on combining practice and research: interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary design research helps to develop different perspectives on the challenges of the present, outline alternative futures, and develop innovative solutions.
