Anna Lisa Martin-Niedecken has been appointed as the new Professor of Design Science
On July 9, 2024, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Anna Lisa Martin-Niedecken was announced by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences Council as Professor of Design Science with a focus on health topics.
She is head of the Institute for Design Research and Deputy Director of the Department of Design. With the cross-institutional «Digital Health Design Living Lab», she works together with interdisciplinary research partners (from UZH, ZHAW, etc.) and practice partners (including university hospitals and patient organizations) to promote the evidence-based development and research of innovative health solutions on the one hand and to contribute to the training of future-oriented profiles at the interface of design and health on the other. She shares her knowledge with various (inter)national specialist communities in specific educational programs and in the context of her research and expert activities. She founded the ZHdK-spinoff Sphery Ltd and has received prestigious awards for her work (e.g. SIGCHI Outstanding Dissertation Award).
