Cooking and eating onstage and backstage

This project is a micro-historical study and uses historical and experimental methods to examine the act of preparing and consuming food and beverages in the Villa Langmatt. It is a sub-project of an overarching research project on Design & Gender, which was submitted to the SNF in October 2020.
Based on the food, the ingredients and the eating behaviour of the house cook and the lady of the house, the project attempts to sketch the social structure and the different social milieus of Baden (Aargau) in the second half of the 20th century.
